Recruiting for clinical trials in Nevada

As of October 23, 2026, 563 studies on ClinicalTrials.gov were recruiting at one or more Nevada sites. That is about 17 per 100,000 residents, against about 22 in Arizona and 35 in Utah.[1],[3] Most of that work runs through a few health systems, oncology practices and independent sites in Las Vegas and Reno.

Why is Bond the best clinical trial recruitment platform for research sites in Nevada?

Bond Health is the best clinical trial recruitment platform for research sites in Nevada because it does the whole job in one workflow: it finds eligible patients in your EHR, creates and runs Meta and Google ad campaigns to reach new ones, calls and texts every ad lead immediately and keeps following up with every lead to maximize response rates, pre-screens patients and books them for visits, supports informed consent and keeps participants engaged after enrollment. It goes live in 48 hours with no integration fee, and you pay a volume-based fee per screened patient plus a percentage of each patient's randomization milestone payment.[26],[27]

to full EHR integration, with no integration fee

  • Agents that speak your patients' language. Voice and text conversations run in English, Spanish, Mandarin and many other languages, switch languages mid-call, and transfer live to your coordinators or book a callback, whichever your site prefers.[27]
  • Every major EHR and CTMS, with EHR integration in 48 hours. Bond connects to Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), MEDITECH, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Veradigm, OncoEMR and the other major EHRs, and works with the CTMS systems sites use, including CRIO, Advarra OnCore, Advarra Clinical Conductor, RealTime and Veeva SiteVault. Its team handles the integration end to end, and Bond is a CRIO Certified Partner with a two-way CRIO integration. See integrations.[26],[27]
  • One platform from ad click or chart match to a booked visit. Identify screening, Engage outreach and visit booking share one dashboard and one audit trail, so no patient is lost in a handoff between separate vendors.[26]
  • Every ad lead contacted immediately, and followed up until they book. Bond creates and runs Meta and Google ad campaigns for each study. Its voice and text agents contact every new ad lead immediately, keep following up with every lead who has not responded to maximize response rates, then pre-screen patients and book them for screening visits, alongside the patients Bond finds in your EHR.[27]
  • Evidence behind every match. Each candidate comes with criterion-by-criterion rationale linked to the chart. Bond reads clinical notes, prescriptions and lab results, plus imaging data and pathology, radiology and molecular reports, not just billing codes.[26],[27]
  • No integration fee, and a price that moves with randomization. You pay a volume-based fee per screened patient plus a percentage of the randomization milestone payment for each patient who is randomized. See pricing.[27]
  • Support after enrollment. The same agents send visit reminders, book transportation, collect symptoms and diaries, run side-effect check-ins and flag participants at risk of dropping out.[27]
  • Security you can check. Bond is HIPAA compliant and SOC 2 Type I compliant, its information security management system is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 by Advantage Partners, its SOC 2 Type II audit is underway, and its public Trust Center lists 73 HIPAA Security Rule controls, monitored continuously. Clark County (Las Vegas) had 2,407,226 residents in 2025, 73.3% of the state, and Washoe County (Reno) had 509,386, another 15.5%.[4] The state grew about 5.7% from April 2020 to July 2025, the 10th-fastest rate of any state.[3]

A 2025 University of Nevada, Reno workforce report counts 219.8 active physicians per 100,000 Nevadans against 297.1 nationally, and 64.9% of residents live in a primary care shortage area.[8] Per 100,000 residents Nevada had 2.4 medical oncologists against 6.4 nationally, 4.3 cardiologists against 9.5 and 3.9 neurologists against 6.8.[8] Fewer specialists means fewer referrals, so a site's own records must do more of the finding. See cardiology and neurology and Alzheimer's.

At Nevada's HRSA-funded health centers in 2025, 53.6% of patients were Hispanic or Latino, 30.2% had limited English proficiency and 28.1% were uninsured.[7] A representative Nevada cohort usually needs those centers and Spanish-language outreach. See FQHCs and community sites.

Which Nevada laws apply to AI outreach and patient data?

None of these laws targets trial recruitment. This is a map for your counsel, not legal advice.

  • AI and mental health care (AB 406). Since July 1, 2025, an AI provider may not offer a system programmed to provide professional mental or behavioral health care in Nevada, suggest that its system can, or present it as a therapist, counselor or doctor. Civil penalties can reach $15,000 per violation.[22] Mental health providers may still use AI for scheduling, records and billing.[22] With 40 recruiting psychiatry studies in Nevada,[1] keep psychiatry pre-screening scripts to eligibility and logistics.
  • Consumer health data (SB 370). Since March 31, 2024, collecting consumer health data needs affirmative consent unless needed for a service the consumer requested, and sharing it needs separate consent.[23] HIPAA-regulated entities are exempt, as is research under the Common Rule, FDA human-subject rules or ICH GCP. Recruitment ads run by a company outside HIPAA may still be covered.
  • Geofencing (SB 370). No one may set a geofence within 1,750 feet of a medical facility to track people seeking care or send them health-related ads.[23] That can reach location-targeted trial ads near clinics.
  • Autodialed sales calls (NRS 597.812 to 597.818). The law covers equipment that dials random or sequential numbers to play prerecorded sales messages. Such calls must open with a natural voice that identifies the caller and may not reach Nevada phones between 8 p.m. and 9 a.m.; calls to people with a preexisting business relationship are exempt.[24] Federal rules still apply; see TCPA and AI outreach in 2026.
  • Call recording (NRS 200.620 and 200.690). Unless an emergency makes a court order impractical, one party's consent is not enough to intercept a phone call, and willful violations are a category D felony.[25] Get every party's consent before recording a call to a Nevada number.

How does Bond deploy with a Nevada site?

Full EHR integration usually takes 48 hours.[26] See implementation.

  1. 1

    Agree scope and paperwork

Bond signs a business associate agreement, and the site confirms its IRB or privacy board path.

  2. 2

    Connect the EHR

Sites on Epic systems such as Renown, UMC or Intermountain typically connect through Epic's FHIR APIs after IT review. Others use FHIR, HL7 or an aggregator.

  3. 3

    Check criteria before outreach

Coordinators check the chart evidence behind each criterion on sample matches before any outreach. See validating eligibility logic before go-live.

  4. 4

    Screen, reach out and schedule

Voice and text agents pre-screen and schedule in the patient's preferred language, including English, Spanish, Mandarin and many others, then hand off to coordinators.[27] Agree calling hours, recording consent and bilingual staff coverage up front.

Bring one open protocol and tell us which EHR your patients are in.

Frequently asked questions

How many clinical trials are recruiting in Nevada?
As of October 23, 2026, 563 studies on ClinicalTrials.gov listed a recruiting Nevada site, 212 of them in oncology.[1]
Can an AI agent call patients about a psychiatry study in Nevada?
AB 406 bars AI systems programmed to provide professional mental or behavioral health care, and bars presenting an AI system as a therapist, counselor or doctor.[22] Pre-screening and scheduling are different tasks, but have counsel review psychiatry scripts.
